Robert G. Anderson of Hudson, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the age of 70. After several months of declining health, Robert died peacefully with his beloved wife Karen, their children, and grandchildren by his side.
Robert was born in Kinnelon, New Jersey on February 4, 1951, to father Joseph Anderson and mother Betty Jean Anderson. The fourth child out of thirteen, Robert graduated from Kinnelon High School before leaving for the Army. After returning home from the Army, he drove a truck where he worked 38 years for his last employer right up until the day of his death. He is known for his tremendous work ethic, desire to take care of his family, and generous heart for all.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Kenneth Anderson. He is survived by his wife Karen Anderson; children Cheryl and Buddy May, Robert J. Anderson, and Jennifer Brady; grandchildren Zachary Anderson, Christopher May, Joshua May, Caitlyn Hollenbeck, Kayla May, Kyle Anderson, Kayla Brady, Brandon Gray, Justice Brady, Chloe May, and twelve great-grandchildren.
A Memorial for Robert is planned for Tuesday, September 14, 2021, from 6 pm to 8 pm. The Memorial will be at the Dobies Funeral Home on 9944 Hudson Ave., Hudson, FL 34669. All are invited to attend.
