August 30, 1941~January 04, 2022

Robert John Palisi Sr., beloved father, grandfather, and friend passed peacefully on January 4th, 2022. He was 80 years old.

Born to John and Irma Palisi on August 30, 1941, in Mt. Vernon, New York. Bob grew up to be a dedicated and brave firefighter. After 23 years of service, he retired from the Mt. Vernon Fire Dept. and relocated to Hudson Florida with his loving wife, Michelle, and their two children, Diane and Robert John Jr.

In addition to his love of firefighting, Bob was a theatre enthusiast and loved performing in front of an audience. In his retirement, he helped his wife run her business and he drove limousines, as he loved meeting new people.

Bob leaves behind his wife and two children, as well as his grandchildren Danielle, Michael, Paris, and Rachel and his great-grandchildren Ethan, Colton, and Everleigh.

Though Bob is gone, the love and light he brought to the lives of those who knew him will never be forgotten.

Michelle & family. In this time of sorrow I extend my sincere condolences. Bob is at peace with our Lord in paradise. Bob was a very pleasant man that encouraged me to take as many FD tests as I could. End result. I did 20 yrs with Pelham Manor retiring as a Captain in 1990. I always looked forward to seeing him at Mt Vernon day and will miss his presence this year, but will always keep him in my prayers. May he Rest In Peace.

Dear Michelle and family,On my very first fire in 1970 on Pearsall Drive I remember seeing Bobby rescuing a person from the fourth floor window down the aireal ladder, doing what Firefighters do. It made me proud to be on the job. So Bobby will surely be missed. Our deepest sympathy and God bless your family.

Dear Michelle and family:
I just heard of your huge loss. Although it doesn’t compare, my soul hurts at the loss of my birthday “twin”. Our last phone call on August 30 was wonderful, much due to you, and I shall cherish it forever. I’ll always remember Bob as a kind and generous soul. May God keep him in his heart forever.
