Michael Nicholas Zembillas
Mike was born January 28, 1934 in Winter Haven, Florida. He was raised in the family’s native land of Kalymnos, Greece. He returned back to the United States when he was 17 years old. He joined the Army and served his term. Thereafter he began working for the Department of Transportation from the beginning position of Survey Aide all the way to the top position of Resident Engineer with no official college schooling, just on the job experience. He retired after 30 years of service. He continued to work after retiring with Golden Triangle Asphalt Company, Pinellas County Engineering, Tampa Bay Engineering, then as private engineering Consultant.
Mike enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, hunting, travel and he loved to create, he had a beautiful creative mind. He handmade grills, smokers, fire pit stands and he even created a gadget handle to make emptying waste much easier for travel trailers which he named EZMT (Easy Empty). The biggest Love he had was for his Family. He enjoyed being around his family. For many years having Sunday family dinners was a must and his Joy. He loved to cook too, especially grilling and smoking.
Mike is predeceased by his parents, Nicholas M. and Xanthipe Zembillas, Sister Katina Cofinas, and Son-in-Laws Acy L. Touchton and Mike Cribaro
He is survived by his wife Cleopatra M. Zembillas of 75 years. His children, Kalliope Cribaro, Xanthipe Zembillas, Nicholas M. Zembillas (Justine), Kay Schrems (Ken) and Teresa Touchton. Grandchildren Michael Thomas (Rick), Anthony Cribaro, Jeannette Gialousakis (Cortney), Christina Gialousakis, Stephanie Krouskos, Michael N. Zembillas (Jenna), Cynthia Zembillas, Tina Marie Tiernan (Daniel), 7 Great Grandchildren, and Sisters Mary Zembillas, Irene Mavrostomos, Ellie Manias(Christo) and Georgia Geraki (Mike)

So sorry for your family’s loss. Mike hired me in 1976 at the FDOT Clearwater Construction Office. He always made whoever he was around feel special. Genuinely was interested in your life. He was an amazing Man.
