BOUDREAU, Harold Armond
May 26, 1929 – February 3, 2022
95, of Tarpon Springs, Florida passed away Thursday February 3, 2022. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to parents Lionel and Edith Boudreau. Harold “Pint” was a 1944 graduate of Parker High School in Chicago. He was vice president of the Letterman Club and respected captain of the basketball team, leading the Colonels to win the city championship. Following graduation, he enlisted and proudly served in the 88th Infantry Division of the Army of the United States Armed Forces during WW2. He participated in the European theater in Italy in 1944 – 1945. After the war he attended St. Josephs College in Collegeville, Indiana and received a B.S. in Physical Education in 1950. He married his sweetheart, Constance E. Voigt September 1, 1951. Harold and Connie celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary last year. Harold was a teacher in Chicago and Aurora for 33 years, touching the lives of countless students through his passion for education and athletics. He retired and moved from Naperville, IL to Tarpon Springs, FL in 1987 where he continued to volunteer and work with students as well as participate in his church, St. Ignatius of Antioch. Harold is survived by his loving wife Connie; his seven children, Tom (Geri) Boudreau, Steve (Vacelia) Boudreau, Bill (Cindy) Boudreau, Diane (John) Benton, Gary (Yvonne) Boudreau, Laura (John) Waterhouse, and Lisa (Todd) Samuel. He was blessed with 16 grandchildren, Bridget (Martin) Benton Burkholder, Colin (Sarah) Benton, Andrew (Laela) Benton, Kelly (Trey) Boudreau McInvale, Matthew (Ivette) Boudreau, Nicole (Nick) Waterhouse Reed, Melody (Elias) Boudreau Kazaleh, Rachel Waterhouse, Christine Boudreau, Alek (Katrina) Boudreau, Bradley Boudreau, Grace Boudreau, Stephanie Samuel, JP Waterhouse, Alex Boudreau, and Ashley Samuel; and 14 great grandchildren, Sam, Liam, Connor, Jack, Baylen, Lily, Corbin, Nolan, Rose, Elia, Alexandria, Palmer, Remy, and Myla. He is also survived by two brothers, Phillip Boudreau and Alan (Janet) Boudreau and a cousin Carol Hauser. A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday March 11, 2022, at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church in Tarpon Springs. The church is located at 715 E. Orange Street Tarpon Springs, FL 34689. A committal service with military honors will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33517.
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. Psalm 127:3-5.
