Manuel M. DeSousa, age 78 of Port Richey, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Manuel was born in Azores Portugal and lived in New Jersey, where he was a long-time, hard-working employee for Trevcon Construction, before moving to Florida. He is survived by his children; Rosie Gray and her husband Dennis, Lisa Kierney, Olga Byxbee, Manuel DeSousa, Jr., Nancy Rogers and her husband Christopher; Diane Maguire and her husband Jon, Andrea Cavnar and her husband James; eight grandchildren; Dustin, Julia, Skylar, Mason, Patrick, Hannah, Ryan, Kyle, and four siblings; Aureliano DeSousa, Margaret Langlais, Carlos DeSousa and his wife Janaina, Tony DeSousa and his wife Rosa. Manuel was preceded in death by his wife Janete DeSousa. He was an active member of the Bay Hope Church and Portuguese American Cultural Association in Florida. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 at Bay Hope Church on March 15th, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Interment is private.
