Maria Christina Samarkos nèe Karantonis, died peacefully in Tarpon Springs, Florida on March 26, 2022, at the age of 73.

Maria is survived by her three loving sons: Gary, Damion, and Brandon Banks along with their wives and children. She is preceded in death by her husband Theo Samarkos, mother Mary Carnes, and father John Zachari Karantonis.

A long-time Bingo caller, she enjoyed playing cards and spending time at the casino with friends and family. For the last several years, she has been a resident at Brookdale Senior Living in New Port Richey, Florida, and has enjoyed painting and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed the time she had with her grandchildren.
