Sandra “Sandy” Tunnell, of Land O’Lakes, Florida, passed away on December 25th, 2022. She moved to Land O’Lakes, Florida, in May 2020 from Wesley Chapel, Florida, where she resided for sixteen years. Previously of Carrollwood, North Tampa, she was preceded in death by her late husband Samuel Tunnell. She is survived by sons Samuel B. of Brandon, Florida, Clifton (Haley) of Lakeland, Florida, Bryan (Tammy) of Dade City, Florida, John of Land O’Lakes, Florida; granddaughters Valerie, Stephanie, Samantha; great-granddaughter Colbie; as well as her sister Diana Barbour of Raleigh, North Carolina.

My sister Sandra was magnificent in her role as “My Big Sister”, loving Mother, Wife, and daughter. As she traveled thru Heaven’s Gates into her forever life , she clutched tightly Sam’s ashes to her breast. I hope they both felt the warm of the blanket I wove from my love, our endless memories, the finest silks , satins, sunshine and bordered in blue velvet ribbon, (and Just in case), sprinkled in , “Forget Me Knots.” Please keep my seat warm for I hope to join you all one day. Until then Sandy, I will miss you so. Maybe you could give me a sign that you are with me as well as my heart.
