With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Alan Thomas Trotta on 21 August 2022. Alan was born in Baltimore, Maryland, later moved to Annapolis and worked at the Naval Academy, and managed several businesses before relocating to Florida where he was employed by the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. He enjoyed greeting and caring for the customers and was loved by them and his fellow workers for 22 years. Alan leaves behind his parents, Thomas and Virginia Trotta, sister Cynthia and brother-in-law Michael, nieces Sophia and Mikaela Diana, nephew Nicholas Booker with Nicole, and great-niece Adelena. He will be remembered in our hearts forever.

The Elsey Family is so sorry to hear of Alan’s passing. We will always remember his sense of adventure and imagination. Our little group of friends will always cherish the memories of running through the woods building forts and wondering what type of character Alan was going to dress up and be that day. We had the best childhood! Rest in Peace my Dear Friend.

Sending my heartbroken condolences to everyone who knew and loved Alan.
Worked with Alan at the USNA. Was very sad to hear of his passing. While we had not spoken in a few years, I considered him a great friend – basically family. Fair winds Alan.
