Albert William Wrege IV

May 23, 1985~January 12, 2024

His name was Albert William Wrege IV, but everyone called him Billy.  He was born on May 23, 1985  and  passed away on January 12, 2024, in Palm Harbor, Florida, at the age of 38. He was a compassionate and generous person who possessed a remarkable talent for fixing anything with an engine. He was quiet spoken, rarely judged, and had a kind and infectious laugh that could not help but make others laugh with him.

Billy’s passion for mechanics extended beyond his occupation and his own personal projects.  When he was not earning his living as a mechanic by day, he would often lend his expertise to others, embodying his caring and selfless nature. Rarely charging friends, and never charging family, he often only asked for compensation to cover the parts he paid for himself. Billy liked to stay busy. Often having multiple projects going at once and almost never saying no to anyone in need, he still found time to go mudding and hunting.

In his quiet way, Billy was fiercely loyal to both family and friends as evidenced by his long lasting relationships.  He was willing to stand in the path of danger to protect those he loved, but often refused to raise a hand or speak out to defend himself.  Billy was one who truly lived his life in the service of others. Billy will be deeply missed by all that knew him and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, kindness, and loyalty.

Billy will be deeply missed by his parents, Ann and Bill Wrege, brother, Travis Wrege, and nieces, Rylie  and Charlee and nephew, Travis Jr. Billy’s passing is also deeply felt by his grandmother, Uncles, Aunts, and  cousins.

Although the loss of Billy will forever be deeply felt by all that knew him, may we always fill that void with the spirit of his giving, the joy of his kindness, and the light of his love.  Celebration of life at later date.

Billy was a one of a kind guy, he cared very much for all his friend’s a family. In my case Billy started my career in mechanics and stood patient while his skills eventually rubbed off on me 😂 I couldn’t be more grateful for you brother may you rest in peace you are loved and will never be forgotten.

Billy was simply amazing as a person and our Ace mechanic. Over the years he worked on many of our classic car collection and the results were perfection. We all will sorely miss you my friend. Your friendship and work will certainly live on in our rides and memories.
