Alice was instrumental in creating an authentic military-style Scottish Highlander Band and maintained the heritage of Dunedin and Stirling Scotland, Dunedin’s sister city through the musical scores she wrote and conducted to enhance the Celtic sound of bagpipes and the school’s alma mater, Scotland the Brave. In her educational activities, she always set goals for the Scottish Highlander Band and successfully managed her activities to create favorable results during her tenure as band director.
