Alisa Fay Jones, born on April 8, 1960, in Latrobe Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on
October 8, 2024, in Palm Harbor Florida, following a courageous battle against breast cancer.
She was the beloved daughter of Richard and Margaret Bair. Fay is survived by her significant
other of 18 years, Michael Gabrielson. She is also survived by her Daughter Deana Lantz, her
Son-In-Law Todd Lantz, Grandson Jaxon Lantz and her Brother Richard Bair. She is preceded
in death by her parents, her Sister Annette “Kay” Jones, her Brother-In-Law Gary “Pope” Jones,
and her Nephew Clay Jones.
A graduate of Saltsburg High School, Fay worked as a machinist at Metalure for several years.
She later would work at Pace prior to retiring. Fay had a strong work ethic. Her dedication and
work ethic were admired. Fay made many great friends throughout her career. She was a
selfless and caring individual who brought joy to those around her.
Fay had a passion for travel. She had the opportunity to take several trips throughout the last
several years. Her travels took her to Wyoming, Aruba, and to the Florida Keys. She loved to
cruise and enjoyed her time in the casino playing the slot machines. Fay and Mike moved to
Dunedin Florida in 2021. She loved living on the Dunedin causeway. She loved being near the
water and sea life. These things brought her peace. Fay also loved to bake and often shared
her delicious creations with family and friends. You could always find a cookie tray of hers at
any holiday party. Above all, Fay loved her Grandson Jaxon, whose joy brought immense
happiness to her life.
Fay is survived by her significant other Mike, who was her best friend. He never left her side and
was an excellent caretaker and provider. They made many great memories together. She is
survived by her daughter Deana. Deana and Fay had a bond like no other. Fay enjoyed
watching Deana play sports while growing up. Fay was Deana’s biggest fan although Fay would
tell you that she was the better athlete. Fay herself was a cheerleader, basketball player,
volleyball and softball player. She truly loved sports. Later, Fay would get to watch her
grandson play football. She loved seeing him play and was also one of his biggest fans.
Fay will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the love she shared with her family. She
touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. “The happiest people
in life are the givers, not the receivers.”

I feel so blessed to have been able to be in Fay’s company the last few years. She touched my life and supported me through my sister’s illness even while fighting herself. She truly was a selfless person. A true earth angel. We will miss her very much. My heart feels heavy, knowing we can’t physically see you. But I know you are always in out hearts. Love you Fay. Our sincere condolences to all of Fay’s family and friends. 🙏❤️
