Anthony Theodore Mohler, III “Tony”, died suddenly and unexpectedly at home in the early hours of Sunday, April 13th, 2025, at 60 years of age. The Life-saving efforts in the expert hands of the well-equipped responding Pasco Fire Rescue crew following the efforts of the trembling hands of his loving wife, were no match for the calling of his Lord and Savior, to come home to Him.
His final day was spent with his wife, son, and other family members doing things he enjoyed – not the least of which included Chic-Fil-A Chicken, Mini’s for breakfast and Medium Rare Ribeye from Outback – while celebrating the last birthday he would share with his FAVORITE son. Had we known this would be his last day, would we have done anything differently? Probably not. It could not have been a better day. He even went to church for a mass to honor his mother-in-law. At the end of his final day, he even remarked, “… This was a very good day.”.
For decades, he suffered constantly with unrelenting migraine headaches, and never truly regained his strength and stamina following his 2023 heart attack, but he DID enjoy some good times with his friends whom he considered “family”. He even got to be Team-Photographer at some little league games.
He often said, “If I were to die today, I would die a happy man, having led a full life – surrounded by good friends and wonderful family.” Still though, none of us expected this to happen so suddenly, or at this time. It was completely unexpected and heartbreaking for those of us who loved him so dearly and who thought we had so much more time.
He served honorably in the US Army, where his duties ranged from K-9 handling Military Police to Head Chef at the Officers’ Club (with many additional roles and duties in between). For a time, he even served as a driver for an officer who was about to be promoted to General in a combat zone that “I can neither confirm nor deny ever even happened”. Oh, the stories he would tell – but that he never told, because they were probably still classified.
Upon returning home from the Army, he worked at Tampa Police Department, where he met his soul mate, whom he later married and with whom he would live out his final days.
After his time at TPD, he worked to perfect his automotive skills and became a Master Automotive Technician who was notorious for his outstanding diagnostic abilities.
He later served as an officer in the USAF, Aux, where he enjoyed imparting his knowledge and skills to young Cadets who were exploring and embarking upon their own Military Service endeavors.
He was a loving man who was kind, generous, and always thoughtful. He will be sorely missed for years to come.

Tony,
Thank you for being the BEST big brother anyone could have. You always came through when needed not just for me but for anyone.
You were a kind and caring son, brother, husband, father, and uncle .
Your presence will be greatly missed by so many people you have touched over the years.
We were not ready for you to leave but I am comforted knowing you have been reunited with mom and granny.
I love you. I miss you! See ya on the other side.
Your lil sis,
Linda
