Arnold “Arnie” Fred Estey passed away peacefully at his home in Holiday, Florida, on January 31st, 2024, surrounded by loved ones, caring for him. He was born in Derry, New Hampshire, on January 19th, 1948. He was a dedicated serviceman who served his country in the United States Air Force from 1969-1973, stationed at the Reese Air Force base in Lubbock, Texas. While in the service, he earned his GED and was a certified specialist on engines. He spent most of his adult years working in the automotive industry in New Hampshire, but he worked in the medical field and resided in Florida for over thirty years. He had many talents but his proudest physical accomplishment was building his dream log cabin near Newfound Lake.
Arnie leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Kim Ward who took excellent care of him during these last tough months. The love, devotion and care that Kim gave him to the end, his family will be forever grateful for. Arnie is survived by two loving daughters; his two adored grandchildren; and sister.
Arnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved spending his time with family and friends and always enjoyed the companionship of his Tiki bird. May his life stories be told long after his passing. He loved taking friends out on his boat, riding on his motorcycle with friends, and enjoying sitting by the water watching wildlife. He always had a great story to share and could get you laughing and smiling with at least one or more. Arnie was always the “life of the party”, “jack of all trades”, and “give the shirt off his back” kind of guy. He will be missed by so many loved ones, friends, and family.
Services will be held at Dobies Funeral Home at 6616 Congress Street in Port Richey. A celebration of life will follow after the service. Should you wish to contribute a donation, on his behalf, please donate to The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of West Pasco, which is a no kill animal shelter, at spcasuncoast.com in New Port Richey.
There will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends of Arnie on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 3pm-7pm to be held at the American Legion, Post 79, 5329 Legion Place, New Port Richey 34652
