Arthur J. Morrison passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Jim as he was known and loved by all was born on January 10, 1946 in Savannah, GA. He spent his youth in Savannah and enjoyed serving in the local Demolay Cecil Chaves Chapter earning the prestigious award of Chevalier. He proudly played the saxophone in the Savannah High School Marching Band. After graduation he attended Middle Georgia College and then transferred to complete his engineering degree at Auburn University. He then married Lola Ann Arnold on August 24, 1968. Not soon after he was drafted into the United States Army and served in the Engineer Corp. Upon the completion of his service he worked for several illustrious companies such as Hercules, Sperry, ATK concluding his career with Lockheed Martin. He was well known amongst his colleges specializing in missile guiding and tracking systems. After retiring he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He participated in many hobbies including being a member of the Mid FL Ceramic Guild. He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Mary (nee Mitchell); his brother David; and his wife of 52 years Lola Morrison. He leaves behind his wife Shirley (nee Galati), 2 sons Arthur (Melodye) of Hudson, Michael (Andrea) of Palm Harbor, 4 grandsons Michael, James, Christian and Bobby; and one Great Grandson.
