Ballard “Boots” V. Lambert Sr.,93, of Holiday Fl. passed away December 10, 2020. Born March 31, 1927 and leaving behind loving wife of 48 years Carol J. Lambert; daughters Cheryl Joy, Connie West, Sandra (Bill) Mciyntire; sons Tom (Shonda) Ames, Ballard V. Lambert II, Gary (Angie) Lambert; preceded in death by parents Preston and Evelyn Lambert, sisters Barbara Steiner and Sheila Brown, first wife Phyllis Lambert all of Dayton, Ohio. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Boots as he was called since being in the army in the 1940's was an avid drag racer in the 70's and 80's at Kil-Kare in Xenia, Ohio and surrounding tracks. Won races and many awards with his beautiful 67 Nova he worked on with pride. He also loved bowling and bowled for many years in Ohio and Florida until a couple years ago. Loved competition and to work on cars and to just plain tinker and fix things and keep busy. Last but not least he had a great sense of humor that only the people that knew him would understand and he never lost it right up to the end. The country has lost a good man and i am forever blessed to have had 48 years with this man. A memorial celebration of life to follow when it is safer to do.

So sad to see such an upbeat person leave us. I won't forget the years we shared bowling together and the barbs we traded. R.I.P. Boots.

We lost a true friend when Boots left us. you could always get a rise out of him when talking about either Drag racing or Bowling. I had the pleasure to know Boots through Bowling and spent time going out for dinner to hear many stories about both. He will be missed by all who knew him.
