Barbara (Nan) Ann (Patterson) Olson, 87, of Holiday, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep August 23, 2024. She was expecting to go home from the hospital that morning when the Lord called Barbara to her eternal home.

Nan enjoyed spending time in her garden and especially loved planting rose bushes with her grandchildren. Nan always looked forward to her annual August trips up to Michigan to visit her sister, go thrifting and spend time with her Michigan family. In her earlier years, Nan did a lot of stained-glass work, enjoyed refinishing furniture thrift finds and played the guitar. Nan persevered through many hardships, had a great sense of humor and fiercely loved her family-warts and all!

Nan was preceded in death by twin daughters, Barbara and Betty; her sons, Randall and Tracy; her parents, Ernest and Olie; brother Pat and sister Betty.

Nan will be lovingly remembered by her sons Rick Olson, Rod Olson, and Dane (Cynthia) Olson; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brothers Jack (Jan) Patterson, Bob (Jan) Patterson, and Mike (Judy) Patterson and sisters Marti (Andre) Plave and Donna Jablonski; many nieces and nephews, as well as, friends and neighbors.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of sharing and celebrating Nan’s life Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Dolphin Green Villas Clubhouse in Tarpon Springs, Florida from 1pm to 5pm.
