Barry Thomas Vinkler, 57 passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 21, 2024. He was born on November 28, 1966 to Robert P. Vinkler and Jeanne Cutshall in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. Although born in Pennsylvania, Barry was a lifelong resident of New Port Richey, Florida where he met the love of his life Kim Lotz and established a family. Barry was a devoted father and grandfather who loved to spend his time with his family. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, golfing, coaching, and most importantly Sundays spent with his favorite people, especially his granddaughter Iviana Rouse who was the apple of his eye. Barry was a hard working man who proudly served his country and was able to make an impact on everyone he met due to his passion he expressed in everything he did and believed in.
Barry is survived by his lifelong companion Kim Lotz; his 2 children Megan and Brandon Vinkler; his granddaughter Iviana Rouse who he referred to as “my beautiful”; his 2 brothers Randy Vinkler and family of Raleigh, NC and Robert A. Vinkler and family of Delmont, PA; his mother Jeanne Cutshall of Delmont, PA; as well as many other extended family including Wendie Wilson-Constable and more residing in Pennsylvania. As sad as it is with the passing of Barry, we must all relish in the fact he is able to reunite with his father and he will continue to live on through cherished memories.

I was searching names of people I was stationed with in the navy and served with a Barry Vinkler in the Philippines. Not sure if this is he but I remember he was from the Pittsburgh area, same as me. Not the first time I did a search for old navy friends and found their obit. Rest in peace Barry regardless if he is the same.
