Very sorry indeed to learn of Bud’s death and to acknowledge Arlene’s sadness. Bud was truly a Christian in every sense of the word and his joy of celebrating the joys of heaven contrast heavily with the sadness of all of us who mourn his loss.
I am remembering Nud and Arlene in my masses and prayers.

Dear Arlene,
Our hearts go out to you during this most difficult time. Bud became a very dear friend. I asked him if he would be my Spiritual Advisor and we met at least monthly for a few years. They were truly very special lunches with Bud. He shared very lovely books with me like “The Sanctifier” by Archbishop Luis M. Martinez as we talked about the content at length. Bud was a gentle and brilliant man but yet so humble! I had the opportunity to preview some of the books he wrote. “The Mystery of Work” was one of my favorites. I shared it with Connie Quatrano who was so excited about it she sold/gave away many of his books she was so taken it. Bud and I worked on unique project together called “The Respect Life Challenge” where we compiled works of Art, Poetry, Prose Music Celebrating Life… for the Parish of Saint Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church. Bud was a beautiful and joyful friend. There will be vacancy in the lives who knew Bud. He will be deeply missed because he was loved much. Arlene you are in our prayers. Love, Louann & Tom

It is with deep sorrow to have seen Bud’s obituary this week.
He was my sponsor for my RCIA classes and partner to my other special RCIA mentor, his wife Arlene.
To this day, I can think about Bud and can still feel his hand upon my right shoulder, guiding up the aisle each Sunday.
May he be at peace and in the kingdom of God.

Dearest Arlene,
My heart breaks for you and Bud. I can still see the two of you sitting right behind me when you and I read together. All of a sudden I would feel “this” hand tap my back. I always admired the both of you…mentors and role models for each of us. You are so soft and gentle like a ballet dancer, I always said. Bud would remind me of Bert with his cap. I love Bud’s Books and I often have images of some of the scenarios. They are awesome.
You are both so proud of family, and often spoke of Dr. Young, and his Mother. Bud shall always be remembered as a towering, soft spoken brilliant person. You are a brilliant, beautiful, delicate person, Arlene. I always think of Bud writing how he met you. I love that scenario. We pray always for your total strength, and Bud’s soul, of which HE AND
G-D WILL always be with you, watching
and guiding you. We love you and Bud, and remember our lunches, Arlene.
With peace, and love, and the prayers and blessings that shall always be showered upon you, Arlene, by G-D, BUD and all, Caroline

Dear Arlene,
Words are inadequate to express your treasure lost. Bud’s legacy is a rich and enduring one. As your church family continues to pray for the Scott family with much gratitude for the times shared and looking forward to continued blessings.
God Bless,

Thank God for Bud!
We grew up together in the Norwegian-American community in Brooklyn, NY- spent many hours chatting on Ft. Hamilton Parkway at the bus stop. Almost always “one more bus” before heading to my home, he to his.
Great Guy, great memories.
