Bertha Pappas Houllis died peacefully in Tarpon Springs, Florida on April 30, 2018 at the age of 96.
Bertha is survived by her three children, sons Michael Anthony Houllis and Louis Anthony Houllis ( Kathy), and her daughter, Maureen P. Cravey , her four grandchildren, Haven Houllis Chrysakis, Brooke Houllis Stamas, Anthony Michael Houllis (Ashley), and Panayota Houllis, her seven great- grandchildren, Christian Chrysakis, Michael Chrysakis, George Stamas, Giana Stamas, Harlow Houllis, Phoenix Houllis, and Wilder Houllis and her surviving siblings, Jack L. Pappas and Nina Gray.
Bertha Pappas Houllis was the oldest sibling of the world famous Pappas Restaurant Family of Tarpon Springs. She was active throughout her life in community events and was one of the pioneers in creating epiphany parade activities. She owned and operated Mama Pappas Gift Shop until she was 85 years old.
Recently her oldest great Grandchild Christian Chrysakis caught the cross at this year’s epiphany celebration on January 6th and it was the 80th anniversary of her deceased husband Anthony M. Houllis retrieval of the cross.
She will be missed by her family and all that ever came into her presence.

The viewing will be held May 2, 2018 at Dobies Funeral Home in Tarpon Springs from 6:00-8:00.
The Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 3rd at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Tarpon Springs at 11:00.
