Betty Jane (Wilson) Taylor, 85, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, following a short illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 15, 1936 in Lodi, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Irene (Foster) Wilson. She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1954. She worked for Fisher Body Gm Plant in Elyria, retiring after 25 years. She made her home and raised her family with her husband Robert W. Taylor in Elyria before moving to Florida in 1996.
She enjoyed crocheting, making scrubbies, making fudge, her famous fruit salad, playing games on her tablet and singing happy birthday to her family on every birthday.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years Robert, sons; Rick Taylor of New Port Richey, Florida, Tim Taylor of New London, Ohio, daughters; Kay Koepp of Elyria, Ohio, Debbie (Tim) Metz of Holiday, Florida, and sister; Carol of Belfountain, Ohio. 7 grandchildren; Michael Trombetta, Christy Justi, Jennifer Schramm, Robert Metz, Alyssa Russ, Sammy Taylor, and Dale Taylor.12 great grandchildren; Brenden Schramm, Giavanna Trombetta, Taylor Schramm, David Justi, Garrett Schramm, Hollie Metz, Olivia Schramm, Hunter Metz, Haley Justi, Lauren Russ, Caiden Russ, and Bo Rasoi. Nieces, nephews, and was Aunt Buzzy to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Lawrence and Irene Wilson, brothers Larry Wilson, Phil Wilson, sister; Paula Carder, son; Dale Leroy Taylor, granddaughter; Lauren Metz, and great-grandson; Luke Russ.
There will be no service, only a private family gathering which was what she wanted.
