Boyce Raymond Edwards, 86, of Mount Gilead, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, December 16th, 2021, at AdventHealth Connerton in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.

Boyce was born on November 9th, 1935, to Raymond and Loretta (Helms) Edwards of Marshville, North Carolina. He grew up in Marshville and joined the United States Navy in 1954 where he served in the Korean War. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, and boating. He loved studying the Bible and was happiest while sharing his love for Jesus Christ with others.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Carson Edwards. Boyce is survived by the mother of his children, Shirley Pope Edwards; his three sisters Emogene Ashcraft, Shirley Marsh, and his twin Joyce Ashcraft. He is also survived by his three children, Gregory Edwards, Todd Edwards (Freida), Melissa Joubert (Brad); and two granddaughters Olivia Grace and Hope Ellen Joubert.

A graveside service will be held at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, North Carolina at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30th, 2022.
