Bryan David Prete, 59, of Tarpon Springs, FL, formerly of Erie, PA, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 24th, 2022. He was born in Jamestown, NY, the eldest son of Anthony and Diane (Heglund) Prete. Bryan graduated from Warren Area High School and was employed by the Warren Times Observer for several years. Upon moving to Erie, PA, he was then employed by The YMCA custodial department until he retired. He was a dedicated lifetime member of The New Apostolic Church where he made many friends and loved to socialize.
In addition to his parents of Tarpon Springs, FL, Bryan is survived by two sisters, Anna Mangini and husband Greg, of Tarpon Springs, FL, Annette Sharpe and her husband Ronald, of DadeCity, FL and one brother, Michael Prete, of Tarpon Springs, FL and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother John Prete, of Warren, PA and his eldest sister, Rhonda Palmer, of Warren, PA.
Bryan was a son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend that was always filled with joy, loved life, loved family and he never met a stranger. He loved to get out of the house daily, walk or take the bus and explore everything. But mostly to meet and talk to people as he was the quintessential social butterfly! Bryan always had a family memory or story or joke to share and nobody laughed harder at them than himself! We will ALL miss him so very much, especially his phone calls!
A Family Celebration of Bryan’s life will be held at a later date.

Brian was always a joy to be around. His personality is what the world needs more of. I will always remember the youth activites and conversations that we had. I know God has a special place for him. All our love. David Felt

Big Brother i was thinking of when we were kids ,we did the typical brother, sister back and forth got on each other’s nerves, At times when other kids didn’t understand you or picked at you just to be mean you wouldn’t tell Mom or Dad you would come tell me and i would ALWAYS have you take me to those Bullies and that problem would get solved, point being even though we would argue, pick fights we each other, I may of been your Little Sister but i also felt i had to protect by Big Brother from Bullies And wouldn’t hesitate to do it as an Adult , And as you grew older you learned how to pick the good from the bad ,and became the Person that once people got to know you they liked and loved you .I will miss you Bryan more then you’ll ever know , you were one of kind with the Biggest Heart and i love you with all heart
RIP . Big Brother
Love your little Sis

To all my family and ones that I haven’t seen in a while, I send all my heartfelt love and condolences. Bryan was the dearest pure soul and Growing up I knew that when or if I was around people that weren’t very nice or condisending, I could be around Bryan. On youth trips or gatherings I could hang with him and my uncle Tim and I would feel happy and safe. My heart feels so happy that you can now be with our treasured family in heaven.. Sincerely, Trish
