Charles Allen Nead passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, at 83 years old. Born and raised in Lowell, Michigan, he graduated from Lowell High School and later built a dedicated career at General Motors in Grand Rapids. After retiring, he moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida, where he enjoyed his retirement years.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Judy Kovalchick, and his cherished daughter, Kathleen “Kathy” Louise Nead. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Teresa (Peter) VanderMeer; granddaughters, Sarah (Jacob) Tow and Kelsey (Eric Weatherford) VanderMeer; and great-grandson, Wesley W. Weatherford. He also leaves behind his brother, Gary (Linda) Nead, and sister, Betty Morris, nieces, nephews, and many great friends.
Charles Nead will be deeply missed by family and friends. A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate his life. No formal services are planned at this time.

We are so blessed to have had the pleasure to know Charlie (and Judy) during the last 10 years.
We couldn’t ask for better neighbors. Both George and I loved him very much. Please know that we are thinking of you during this difficult time and are here to help in any way we can. Also please let Gary and Betty know that we send our condolences.
