Cheryl Ann Cleveland

October 07, 1946~December 30, 2020

Cheryl Ann Heathcoe Cleveland, age 74, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 30, 2020 due to a series of complications of diabetes. She will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts. Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Laura Cleveland-Bain and husband, David Bain; granddaughter, Kristyn Brandon; sister, Pam Macy and her husband, Ken Macy, Janet Bourland and her husband, Steve Bourland; her three nephews Justin Macy and wife Melinda Macy, Brett Macy and Steven Bourland; as well as her two loving, spoiled kitties Max Cleveland and Little Bit Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Cleveland Simpson, father Edwin Heathcoe and mother Eleanor Heathcoe.
All who loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace (when pertinent) and undying love and caring for them. Cheryl was a devoted mother and friend who had a firm understanding of what was important – the simplicity of living a life with those she loved.
My mother was a woman with a heart as soft as a kitten and the strength and courage of a tiger. She lived a life of service and touched the lives of many through her kindness and generosity. She was a woman who tackled nursing school to become an LPN while working and raising two babies on her own. She faced life head on with fierce courage and determination. She worked very hard for everything she had, never allowing obstacles to stand in her way. She went on to pursue her RN the year before I graduated high school. She put herself through nursing school once again, but this time while raising two teenage girls – yikes!! She received many accolades throughout her career, award employee of the month or year many times.
She enjoyed traveling, day trips to the farmers market, shopping and dinner with friends and family. She was a friend to many, offered help often, but most importantly she always loved unconditionally. She was quick witted with dry humor and could provoke a laugh wherever she went. She listened when needed, offered advice when warranted and was always available to offer her love and support. She was an incredible mother and friend and we were all lucky to have her in our lives.
Per Cheryl’s request, she will be cremated at Dobies Crematory – no in person services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers or donations, my mother would have preferred you save your money so please just give a few minutes of your time to remember her amazing, loving, and kind soul and post on her Facebook page at: www.Facebook.com/Cheryl.Cleveland.39 Since Christmas was her favorite time of year, the family asks that you pick an ornament or decoration in her honor and smile when you think of her.

Cheryl is the second very important person in my life to pass within a six week period. I will miss her every day. Even with her health problems, she was always concerned about others. I so regret not being able to see her
these past months due to the pandemic. Soar with the angels. Cheryl
