Chester “Chet” Lanzi, 91, of Hudson Fl departed this earth on December 22, 2020 climbing up the stars to sing in heaven wiith his beloved daughter Cyrena and grandson Charles who preceded in death. Chet was born October 28, 1929 son of Eugene and Mary Lanzi. He grew up in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Florida in 1970. He served his country during the Korean war. Chet loved life and making people laugh. He loved babies and all children, he just couldn't help himself from giving their little heads a pat. Singing was his passion , he would serenade folks wherever he went. We would always find him sitting by the lagoon soaking up the sun rays that gave him life and singing a happy tune. He leaves behind the family he loved which includes wife of 58 years Nancy Cope Lanzi; son Brent Lanzi with spouse Josee; daughter Gina Cortright with spouse Michael, daughter Denise Sammartino; brother Andrew Lanzi; granddaughters Alison and Andiie Cortright, Gina Sammartino; grandsons Nicholas Glasso and Marc Sammartino; his precious yorkie named Loki. Our love for him will never die and his songs will live in our hearts forever.

A celebration of life is planned for 2021.
