Conrad Hertzog, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away unexpectedly after a brief but serious illness on December 30, 2023, at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor FL. Conrad was born October 9, 1937, on his family farm in Carrolltown PA, the son of the late Charles and Mabel (Lamer) Hertzog.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five of his brothers Howard Hertzog, Raymond Hertzog, Edward Hertzog, Ellsworth Hertzog, William Hertzog, and his sister Bernetta Fiasco.

Conrad is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Claudette, his brother Elmer Hertzog and his wife Shirley, his sisters Odessa Morris, Margaret Gaunter and her husband David, Carolyn DeGraw, Elizabeth Lazration and her husband John and Theresa Suwinski. His five children Conrad Hertzog and wife Donna, Donna Hertzog- Jones, Sandra LaSalle and her husband Kenneth, Peter Hertzog and his wife Bonny, Christopher Hertzog and his wife Susan. His stepchildren Richard Marble and his wife Valerie, Kimberly Martinetty and her husband Kenneth, Jennifer Stoodley and her partner Victor Muniz.

He was blessed with nineteen grandchildren Erik Hertzog, Sarah Docter, Elizabeth Simpson, Katelyn Hertzog, Michael Jones, Vanessa Jones, Christopher Hertzog, Matthew Hertzog, Stefanie Brodeur, Kerry LaSalle, Marrisa Madonia, Sarah Hertzog, Richard Marble, John Marble, William Marble, Andrew Marble, Ryan Chamberland, James Lussier and Jessica Lussier.

Conrad was also blessed with great grandchildren Jacob Hertzog, Michael Jones Jr, Cameron Jones, Aiden Jones, Tyler Jones, Jacob Docter, Julia Docter, Alexa Ryman, Matthew Allen, Juniper Hernandes, Jordan Marble, Tristen Marble, Bailee Marble, Kole Marble, Aubrianna Larocque, Wyatt Larocque, Noah Bousquet and Peyton Adams. Stefanie Brodeur is expecting her first child in March. Conrad was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Conrad was a kind soul who was loved and admired by his family and friends. Conrad had a humble upbringing and remained humble throughout his life. Conrad served in the US Navy as Airman in Air Anti-Submarine Squadron 31, NAS out of Quonset Point, RI. Conrad received an Honorable Discharge from the Navy and settled in Woonsocket RI working hard and raising his family. Conrad was a dedicated worker throughout his life, finally retiring from the Medway MA School Department. Conrad relocated with his wife Claudette to Holiday FL where he enjoyed time with his friends, family and his beloved dog Max.

Conrad is remembered for his soft-spoken nature, gentle kind demeanor, hard work ethic and his dedication to his family and friends. Conrad loved to putter around outside, he enjoyed coin collecting, gardening, bingo, shuffleboard, watching westerns, going to the casino and visiting with family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 2pm, Sunday January 21, 2024 at the club house at the Holiday Travel Park in Holiday FL.

Conrads final resting place will be on the mountainside of his family’s farm in Carrolltown PA in the spring, where a part of his heart has always been and will remain for all eternity. Dates for Conrads final interment in Carrolltown PA are pending but expect to be in the spring.
