Dale Bruce Jorgensen , 72, died peacefully in his sleep at home in Florida on Feb. 19.
He was born in Iola, Wisconsin to Jim Jorgensen and Eileen (Marquard) Jorgensen. After graduating from Waupaca High school, he went on to the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, and achieved his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California in 1978.
In 1971, Dale met Diane at the University of Stevens Point. Dale and Diane went on to have three children, Summer, Luis and Sandra.
Dale had been well, active and working. Work was a pleasure for Dale. He retired from Intel Corp. in his 50s and then, returning from California to his home town of Waupaca Wisconsin, he became part of a consultant group that served Pizza Ranch restaurants across several states. He was business savvy and a dedicated father, husband and friend. He cared for family and friends well and he demonstrated that in everything he did.
Dale used his success to help so many and it is impossible to list the countless people who were recipients of his generosity. Dale was quiet and never drew attention to himself. Without exaggeration, Dale’s generosity extended even to the world stage and he had a heart for global missions. He demonstrated this in financial ways and also through His son Luis’ involvement. Only eternity will know how many people were truly affected by Dale’s life.
One of his favorite things to do was taking pontoon rides on the Chain O’ Lakes in Wisconsin.
The silver lining to Dale’s death is that he was a born again believer in Jesus Christ and he is safely in the arms of His Savior now. We are absolutely certain that Dale heard those words “well done, good and faithful servant”. In our minds he was taken too soon, but in God’s mind it was just the right time.
We will miss Dale so much, We will think of him every time we walk into a Pizza Ranch restaurant or take a pontoon ride on the Chain in O’Lakes, Waupaca.
Dale was predeceased by his parents and daughter Summer. He is survived by his wife Diane, sister Debbie, and children Luis and Sandra.
Visitation will be held at Victory church in Waupaca, Wisconsin on March 22nd at 9:30 am with the service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Go Multiply, an organization that Dale felt close to.
