To Doc, our friend, great ball player and best person to know. We met overseas in Iran working for Grumman and had a great time and lots of happy and sad times. He was the best person to confide in and fun to have like the little brother I never had. We will meet again in the after life and be have or lose our places. Good by my dear friend you will be missed dearly by all who knew the real and great DOC. So peace be with you and until we again rest easy and all will miss you greatly. Your friends, children and whom ever knew you and your great personality. We will love and miss you dearly. Marcia “FASTER’’ Follick as you called me, until the farewell dear friend😢😢🥰🥰

I GREW UP WITH GEORGE AKA JABBO IN NORTH BABYLON, NEW YORK. GRADUATED A YEAR BEHIND HIM. WE WERE HIGH SCHOOL FRATERNITY BROTHERS. PRIOR TO HIS MARRIAGE GEORGE AND I HUNG OUT TOGETHER DOING THE USUAL STUFF SINGLE GUYS DO. WE KEPT IN TOUCH ALL THROUGH THE YEARS AND EVEN MORE SO AS WE GREW INTO OLD AGE. WE TALKED ON THE PHONE AND SENT EMAILS. WE TALKED ABOUT THE OLD DAYS IN NORTH BABYLON.
I WILL MISS GEORGE AND STILL CANNOT BELIEVE HE IS GONE. GOD REST HIS SOUL AND I PRAY WE WILL MEET AGAIN.

Sad to hear of George’s passing. George never changed from the time I first met him when we kids going to DPA and the last time I seen him. He was a bigger than life kinda guy who cared about all his friends, especially Harry.
You always knew when George was around, I can still hear the laughter.
Rest In Peace George, my condolences to to all his family and friends.

Great Guy we grew up together in North Babylon. He always had a smile and a hug for everyone. We graduated in the class of 1960 at North Babylon High School, George was my prom date in high school and I still have the pictures we took together at prom. He will be missed.

I remember George well from DPA NBHS—we shared many years there. Everyone loved him. He was a friend to all.
One be one we are losing all these wonderful friends and reliving our great memories. I still tell my grandchildren stories of NB basketball—particularly of George and Harry Silipo—what a great pair they were! He, his smile and his friendship will never be forgotten. RIP dear old friend ❤️
