David Lee Schwichtenberg of Palm Harbor Florida was called home to be with our lord on March 31st, 2022. He was born November 23, 1955, in Lakeland Florida.
Dave loved life and enjoyed playing baseball; starting as a child, through college and continued to play his Tuesday night softball well into his 50’s. With an interest in aviation, he got his pilot’s license in 1984. He was an avid hunter, and a member of the Deer Creek Hunt Camp for over 27 years. He volunteered at the Tampa and Orlando chapters of the Rocky Mountain Foundation for many years. Dave loved spending time with his wife, family, and friends at the beach (basking in the sun all day!), fishing, scuba diving, camping, boating, or traveling. Dave was funny, silly, and loads of fun to be around. He was the most outgoing “alive” person you would ever meet. But he was also warm and compassionate, always thinking of others. If you knew Dave, you loved Dave. Dave spent his entire career at Graybar, starting there as a young man still in high school working part time in the warehouse. He held many roles over the years and rose to the position of District Vice President, but remained a humble mentor to others, working hard and making hard work look easy. He had a way of putting people at ease immediately. Spending over 4 decades there (46 years), Dave gathered a lifetime of treasured friends along the way.
Dave was preceded in death by his father Duane, and mother Lois. He is survived by his wife Debi, 5 daughters; Stacie Tollett (Chris), Casey Stein (Brent), Christie Schwichtenberg, Lindsey Granger, and Stephanie (Justin); 6 grandchildren; Brayden, Bradley, Oliver, Addison, Justin, and Madalyn. He also leaves behind his sister Diane Fauble (Ray), Aunt Doreen Arneson and many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a multitude of dear friends.

So sorry to hear of Daves passing. What a great guy. I worked at City of Lakeland Electric and spent many a day with Dave at Graybar. We loved talking hunting and fishing. Condolences to his family I know you are going to miss him dearly. So so sad to know he is gone. Heaven just got better with him there.
