Denise Marie Hayes Daniel, 55, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away on October 30th, 2022. She is survived by her beloved longtime companion and partner Eric Dill; her sister Trina Hayes; brothers Kevin (Anna) Hayes and Dirk Hayes; and birth daughter Hunter Apple. She fought a valiant battle against multiple cancers and other mental and physical challenges. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Hayes and Faye Hayes. She grew up in Hendersonville, Tennessee, after living in several states, including Germany when her father was in the Air Force. Denise was a veterinarian for over 20 years and has been reunited with her beloved cats and dogs, especially her dog Bradley. She enjoyed planting flowers, admiring the butterflies, and the birds eating at her feeders and the beautyberry shrubs. She spent lots of vacations at the beach, floating in the ocean, watching the shorebirds, and the occasional bald eagles and osprey soaring overhead. She was an enthusiastic artist, spending much of her youth using colored chalk, later painting and colored pencils for her artwork, origami, and making vibrantly colored cards with inspirational messages. Denise loved the environment and surrounded herself with pictures of wildlife and nature. Those who wish to honor her may make a donation to their favorite animal/wildlife fund or cause in her name. She will be missed by all.

I will miss you always and you’ll be forever in my heart. We spent so much time together that there’s nothing I can do, see or say that won’t remind me of you in some way. I just want to say, I Love You, Eric.

Nise, I have so many fond memories of FL vacation, sharing sunsets w/you and Mom, identifying the shore birds, the occasional magnificent frigate birds, enjoying the bald eagles and osprey overhead. I’ll especially miss floating in the ocean w/you. I have many happy memories of floating on Old Hickory Lake as teens. I really appreciated you as a sounding board, ur quick wit, all ur knowledge and expertise. I really miss you, Nise. I love you, ur sister Trina
