Dixie Lee Guisinger passed away quietly on February 20th, 2022 at 9pm. Her son and daughters were with her the day she passed. She will be missed greatly but she had a wonderful journey. She led a full life and a great career. She enjoyed all of her beautiful homes in Newark and Alexandria Ohio and in her later years in Jacksonville and Hudson Florida. She loved her flowers and always had a beautiful garden and was still ordering new plants until the day she left us. She loved to cook and enjoyed her Morel Mushrooms she had flown in for her birthday the week she left us.
She is survived by her daughters Sandra Day and her husband Stephen, Debra Lee Robinson, and her son David Earl Conklin and wife Carla. She had wonderful stepchildren as well in her life Donald Guisinger Jr. and wife Linda, Timothy Guisinger and wife Cheryl, David Guisinger, Betty Rabe and husband Jim, and daughter in law Jenny Guisinger.
Her best friend and sister in law Betty Jane Pierpont preceded her in death by just a few weeks. We know that they are reunited now and free of pain and suffering. Also her sister Joella Welsh and brother Donnie Cornileus and wife Patty will miss her greatly.
In addition she is survived by eight grandchildren, Christopher Sean Conklin, Anthony Catalano, Jessica Conklin, Chelsey Conklin, and Bryan Conklin. Also she lived to see ten great grandchildren.
We will miss her everyday but have comfort knowing her last days were in her home with her children around her and caring for her.

Dixie was a good friend, we always enjoyed visiting with her and Dad.
She was always kind to help out, good listener and fed us many a great meal!
We shared many lunch/shopping excursions and lots of memories I will treasure!
After Dad passed, she got a kick talking with Tim and I think perhaps he reminded her of Don a little. It was very sweet. She liked when we showed up with pizza!
She was a great woman & I considered her a very good friend. She certainly will be missed. I’m sure she’s kicking up her heels with dad on the heavenly dance floor ❤️

There are a lot a great memories with Dixie. She took me in an raised me as her own. Went camping when we were kids. Boating when we were older. Got in trouble when Dad and I ran the phone bill up talking on the computers over Modems. We had great talks after dad passed on and come closer friends. I will miss her a lot but I am happy that her and Dad are back together and doing the things they love. 💕

I am sorry to hear of Dixie’s passing. May you all be comforted by your memories of her and all the good times you have had. Over the years I often have thought about Don and Dixie. They were wonderful In-Laws to me and I have great memories of them. They are together now and I am sure they are quite happy.
