Dominic Joseph Straquadine, 76 years old, passed away peacefully from this life on October 4th, 2024, at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida. He was surrounded by his family and friends during his final moments. His celebration of life will be held Dobies Funeral home at 9944 Hudson Ave. Hudson, Florida 34667 on October 20th, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years Pearl “Bunny” Straquadine, His five children, fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and soon arrival of Jaxson Sawyer his 18th great-grandchild.

Dominic “Sonny” Straquadine was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 27th, 1948, to Dominic and Josephine Straquadine. He had seven brothers and sisters. He was a man of many talents which included a fantastic fitter and welder, an extraordinary painter and craftsman and a legend on the pool table. Just to name a few. What Dominic was best at was being a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His patience and love for his family was something that could never be explained by words alone. He would often tell us that as long as you have love you have everything and would not need for anything. Many times he would brag to whomever would listen about his large family and how proud he was. He had an incredible sense of humor, loved God, John Wayne movies and football.

Dominic “Dad” will be missed by many of his friends and family. He often called his children and grandchildren his Angels and now he is our Angel.
