Donny was unlike anyone I’ve ever known. When I moved to Florida, he welcomed me with open arms as a fellow New Yorker and taught me so much about my job, and life in general, always there to listen and give advice. It was always a good day if I got to see Donny. I will never forget his smile, his kindness, his laugh, the jokes we shared, his positively and his strength. He was such a genuine person and like a father figure to me in a way. His passing is heartbreaking, and my heart goes out to Cathy and his wonderful family. I’ll always love him and miss him. He will be remembered by so many as an amazing person. There will never be another Donny and I’m so grateful I got to have him in my life. Always in my thoughts.
