Donald Thomas St. Croix age 69, passed away at home on January 2, 2024 in Port Richey, Florida. He was born on August 19th, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan where he spent 25 years before moving to Florida to raise his family. He worked at Chrysler Motors in Michigan & then went south to work with his parents at their new marina in Port Charlotte, Florida. Not long after that, he started in the car business selling cars & then earned his Finance & Insurance license. He spent the last 20 years doing what he loved, fixing & remodeling homes.
Don married Peggy Rambo when he was 19 and they had three beautiful children, whom they raised on the west coast of Florida. Don loved being by the water, boating, fishing, & having some beers with friends/family at every opportunity that came up. He never missed a good time, and he would talk to anybody. He was a great listener & would always make you feel welcome. His smile, laughter & enthusiasm would light up any room. He loved telling Dad Jokes & using phrases like “Hey Kid” & “Sheet of Glass”. He was very handy and always willing to help someone with a project. He never posed for a picture without a thumbs up or a peace sign. He really loved life.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Tom & Shirley St. Croix, and his brothers, Larry & John St. Croix. He is survived by his children Jason (Eva) St. Croix, Jeremy (Trisha) St. Croix, & Sommer (Steve) St. Croix-Brown; grandchildren– Jaydon, Mya, Siena, Liahna; great grandchildren Zander & Atticus; as well as nephews, a niece & many dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Social in New Port Richey (5650 Main Street) on Saturday February 10, 2024 12-4pm.
