Ernest Cleo Goins, age 73, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2021, at Oakhill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida. He was born December 17, 1947, in Grayson County, Kentucky, the son of the late Norman Eugene Goins and Faye Coakley and was the grandson of the late Ernest and Viola Goins. He was a retired mechanic and loved building Classic Chevy cars. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Whobrey Goins. He is survived by his son, Ernest Shannon Goins, of Starke Florida and daughter, Laura (Steven) Buddemeier, of New Port Richey, Florida; four brothers, Elmer Eugene Goins and Joseph Eddie Coakley, Jr., of Louisville, Kentucky; Russell (Mel) Goins, and Joseph (Kathy) Goins, of New Port Richey, Florida; and one sister, Beverly (Bill) Webster, of Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and grandparents. Visitation will be at Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home – Hudson Chapel, in Hudson, Florida from 5 p.m. to 7 pm
