Gail A. (Golden) Gilmore, age 77, of Trinity, Florida, passed away May 24th, 2025. She was a retired RN and Teacher having graduated from the University of South Florida in Nursing, and Barry University in Montessori Elementary School Education. Her life was dedicated to children, whether in teaching childbirth education, hospital nursing, or teaching. She and her business partner of many years, Rene Hensley, did all those activities together and founded the World of Knowledge Montessori School in 1981. She was its Principal and a teacher through all those years until 2017 when she retired. In her later teaching career, it was not unusual to teach the third generation from the same family. In her later years, she volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society until dementia overtook her memory. Although she remained the friendly person she had always been, the last three years of her life were restricted to a memory care facility.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl; two children, Steven (Beth) Gilmore of Raleigh, NC, and Jennifer Rodriguez (Ron) of Land O’ Lakes, FL; three grandchildren, Foster, Amelia, and Maxwell; as well as brother, David Golden.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Dobies Funeral Homes, Tarpon Springs Chapel. Mass to follow at 1:00 pm at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Cycadia Cemetery.

Carl and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your bride and mother!!!
Thinking back to the 16 years I spent working at World Of Knowledge, I am reminded of a family! We traveled, we laughed, and we cried together!! May Gods take you in his arms!

Dear Mr. Gilmore,
We want to express our deepest sympathy on the passing of your beloved wife, Gail.
Though we did not have the opportunity to know her personally, we want you to know that we love Steven very much—he is one of our dearest friends. And while we cannot begin to imagine your sorrow, we are holding you and your family close in our hearts and prayers.
May the love that surrounds you and the quiet strength of memory bring some comfort in the days ahead.
