A more loving, caring uncle could not be found anywhere. He was thoughtful in so many ways, always remembering to send cards on birthdays and holidays. I loved his sense of humor, which was there till the end, and his appreciation for every little thing that was done for him. So sweet. He made it a practice to reach out just to say “hi,” or to keep prodding about something you needed to get done…what a memory! Though his years were many, it somehow seemed he would thrive for many more. As the last link to my dad, I’ll miss him even more. One of the good things about moving to Florida when we did was being able to see Uncle George much more often than I had since childhood. And what a blessing that’s been!
