Geraldine A. “Gerry” Plourde (nee Hanscom), 89, a resident of Naperville, IL since 2011, formerly of Lisle, IL, Lancaster, PA and New Port Richey, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at her home. She was born October 20, 1928 in Amherst, ME.

Beloved wife of the late Donald J. Plourde, whom she married May 30, 1951 and who preceded her in death on August 24, 2003, loving mother of Jeanette (Dan) McKinnon of New Port Richey, Jackie Plourde of Naperville, Donna (Dennis) Coggins of Victor, NY, Catherine (the late William Haggerty) Hughes of Bethany Beach, PA, Margaret (Terry) Harris of Mechanicsville, VA, Edward (Dawn) Plourde of Lancaster, PA and the late James (Donna) Plourde, adored grandmother of Colleen Coggins, the late Kyle Coggins, Courtney (Mike) Baker, Lisa (Mark) Trahan, Eric (fiancé, Thomas Layco) Hughes and Carson Harris, cherished great-grandmother of Macey and Mattie Trahan and Clara Baker, sister-in-law of Thelma Branscombe of Lincoln, NH.

Visitation Sunday, March 4, 2018, 3:00-6:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville with a wake service on Sunday, 4:00 PM with Deacon Larry Kearney officiating.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 5, 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville.

A luncheon will follow the Mass at the church.

Interment: Graveside Service will be held Tuesday April 3 at 10 AM at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens, New Port Richey, FL.
