Geraldine Evelyn Schuster Woods, lovingly known as Jeri, passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born in Johnson City, NY, grew up in Binghamton, and moved to Florida at age 12. She later spent 16 years in Maryville, TN, where she became an avid hiker and member of the Smoky Mountains’ 900 Mile Club. She returned to Florida in 2003 and most recently lived in Crystal River.

Jeri was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved nature, art, reading, and spending time with family. A junior master in ikebana flower arranging, she also enjoyed yoga, museums, botanical gardens, and watching the birds and butterflies in her yard.

She is survived by her husband Donald; daughter Lauralee; brother Joseph Schuster; two grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters. She was joyfully awaiting her first great-grandson.

A burial service will take place on May 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida followed by the placement of the urn at the columbarium.
