Leskovec, Geraldine,
went home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2019. Born in Waukegan, Illinois on St Georges Day 1925 . Geraldine was educated at St. Bartholomew's School and Waukegan Township High School. During WWII, she worked at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. She married Stanley Joseph Leskovec in 1947. They raised 2 children, Charles (Miami) and Jacqueline (Chicago). Geraldine built an 18 year career at Abbott Laboratories. Upon retirement, the Leskovecs moved to New Port Richey, FL in 1985. In addition to her children, she is survived by her sisters, Bernice Woertz (Antigo, WI), Helen Balen (Wakegan, IL), and Dorothy Brant (Stuart, FL); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Geraldine was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Anna Racas; aunt and uncle, Ursula and John Yuknevicus; husband, Stanley; sisters, Justine (Lutvin), and Anna; brothers, Richard, and Anthony;. Geraldine was a member of St Thomas Aquinas Parish where she and friends were daily communicants for two decades. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9am on Monday, January 21 at St Thomas Aquinas. There will be no prior visitation. Burial will be next to family in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
