Gloria F. Hernandez, 93 years old, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3rd at home surrounded by her loving family.  Gloria was born and lived her early life in Puerto Rico.  She boldly left the comforts of her hometown and moved to Manhattan, NY where she then bravely traveled to Cuba to meet and marry the love of her life, Ramon Hernandez.  They started a beautiful family with two children, Ralph and Helga, and adopted many beloved pets.  She lived her life being a warm mother and caretaker to her family including her 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Gloria is survived by her son, Ralph Hernandez, and spouse, Sonia Hernandez, and their children Glory (Andrew, Isabel, Lucy), Ramon (Kylie, Mason, Rafael), and Carlos. Her daughter, Helga Perez, and spouse, Daniel Perez, and their children Alexa and Erica.

We are forever grateful for the love and time we had with Gloria and she will eternally be our guardian angel, as we are sure she is still protecting and guiding us.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pinellas, 3040 State Road 590, https://www.humanesocietyofpinellas.org/.

Helga, I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. She was a saint! And what a blessing to have her with you all and learn from the her wisdom. Finally, kudos to you for being her caretaker, as she was living with your family when I met you around 1998. May she now rest with her husband in peace. Your friend always, Donna.
