Graciela Elena Reinel Camino, 81, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away on Friday, August 12th, 2022, at home. Most of you remember her by her middle name “ELENA”.
Graciela was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on May 18th, 1941. She was the 2nd child of 8, daughter of Horacio and Sara Reinel Camino. Graciela’s profession was a teacher in Ecuador. She loved to study and was studying law before she was married to Jose Guido Menendez.
Graciela moved to New York City in her 40’s, although she traveled back and forth quite often before the final move. In New York, she found her faith in the Seventh-Day Adventist church. She read the bible and found answers to many questions she had been looking for. She was a deaconess as well as an adult and teen Sabbath school teacher for many years. She loved to read her bible every day. She was a devout member of her faith until the very end. She moved to Spring Hill, Florida in the summer of 1987. She was blessed with 3 children, Joseph Anthony, Jose Guido, and Christie Helen Menendez.
Graciela “Elena” is survived by her 2 sons and 1 daughter Joseph, Jose, and Christie Menendez. She is further survived by 8 grandchildren, Gabriella Peeples, Myranda Rodriguez, Mia Ferreyra, Brittany Rodriguez, Kristin Rodriguez, Benjamin Rodriguez, Jayden Menendez, and Giuliano Menendez; as well as 2 great granddaughters Reina and Gianna Peeples. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Sara Camino and Raquel Flores.
Graciela was very passionate for the Lord, she would always tell you the truth if you wanted it or not. She was loyal and loved her family as best as she knew how. She may have come across as stern but she was soft inside and genuine. She taught her family so much and will be greatly missed!
