Guillermo Perez, 77, of Hudson, Florida, passed away on July 5, 2024. Born on July 15. 1946, in Las Marias, Puerto Rico, he eventually moved to Florida. He spent many years working in the road boring industry where he was known for his skillful handling of heavy equipment and as a CDL truck driver, eventually retiring from Blevins Road Boring.
Guillermo was a cherished figure in his family, known affectionately as “Papa” by his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. Surviving him are his children, Laura (Stan) Fisher, Suzy Mendez, Timothy (Tammy) Mendez, Guillermo W. (Diana) Perez, MaryKay (Ian) LaFleur, and daughter-in-law Violet Mendez, as well as adored siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. Gigi’s family was the cornerstone of his life, and his role as a patriarch will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Juana Perez; his beloved wife, Judith Perez; and his son, James Mendez.
Guillermo’s life was marked by his joyous spirit and the deep bonds he formed with family and friends. His passing marks a significant loss to all who knew him, and he will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the profound impact and deep love he had for his family.
