March 02, 1940~August 12, 2022

Harold Willard, age 82 and known by many as Willy, passed away peacefully at 5:50 am on August 12, 2022, in Hudson, Florida.  He was surrounded by loved ones during this time.  He was born on March 2, 1940, and raised by his grandmother, aunt, and cousin Lillian.  He was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor Willard, and his daughter, Susan Willard.  He is survived by his devoted wife, Denise Nosal-Willard; his two loving daughters, Jacqueline Carter and Michele Willard; son-in-law Greg Carter; three stepchildren; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several cousins. Although Willy did not have any siblings, he always had friends that he considered family, including his very best friend and best man Phil Ganci. Willy spent his career as the business agent for the Painters and Tapers Union in New Jersey before moving to Hudson, Florida, in 2004. He was deeply involved with the Sons of Italy and met countless more friends that became extended family. He also spent countless hours volunteering with the local Sheriff’s Department and the local chapter of the Republican National Committee to serve his community with pride. His passions included bowling, traveling, recounting stories, and spending time with his family and collection of great friends. Anyone that knew Willy couldn’t deny his strong outward personality, and that he loved, laughed, and cared for his family and friends with that powerful enthusiasm.  Broken hearts and sad souls are expected but would never be tolerated by Willy.  He’s watching with the Angels now.  Rest peacefully, Willy.  We love you and will miss you always.

Willy had an aura around him. He made everyone feel good.
He was like a Big Brother to me. Always with a smile on his face, and that famous laugh of his.
Willy was always kidding around and asking for everybody.
He was a long time member of the Sons and Daughters of Italy, and loved his bowling.
When I was watching Turner Classic Movies on T.V., and the Bowery Boys were on, I would call him to tell him. He loved the Bowery Boys.
What are we going to do without you? You will be our missing Link.
God bless you Willy, may you rest in peace. You will be missed.
