Crowley, Hazel Barbara
76, passed away peacefully Friday, September 14, 2018 at Hospice in New Port Richey, FL, following a brave battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Thomas J. Crowley Sr. whom she was married to for 59 years.
She was born February 27, 1942 in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late Louis and Alice (Judson) Greatorex. She had seven brothers and three sisters.
Hazel was a cashier for several years at Stop & Shop in Waterbury, CT where she made many life long friendships. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, sewing and spending summers at the beach in Rhode Island. After retiring in 1991 to Holiday, FL she became a cashier at Winn Dixie in Elfers. Hazel was always smiling and had a warm, caring disposition. She loved people and was blessed with many wonderful friends.
Besides her husband she is survived by her two daughters Lynda Crowley of San Antonio, TX and Karen Crowley (Chris Poullas) of New Port Richey, FL; sister Grace (Greatorex) Sickler of CA; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Hazel was predeceased by her son Thomas Crowley and her grandson Christopher Bishop.

Mom, you were such a beautiful person and I will deeply miss your friendship, laughter and presence for the rest of my years in this lifetime. You were an amazing Nana to Carter and Lukas, always being there for them in every way possible. You will forever be in our hearts. We are at peace knowing that you no longer feel pain or suffering. Although you are gone, I will never feel alone knowing that you are my angel in heaven. xoxoxoxo
