Hanenberg, Irene 81, of Hudson, Florida passed away August 21, 2020. Born in Berlin Germany on May 1, 1939.
She is survived by her husband John; son Michael; sister in law Wilhelmina; and two nieces, Karen and Ellen, who are residing in Berlin.
Irene lived in Clifton NJ, and was a dental assistant for seventeen years. She was a member of the Cosmopolitan Association, Clifton Chapter, for over fifty years and served as the Chair Lady for providing fresh fruit for the patients in the Greystone Park Hospital in Morristown NJ. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, 7365 Clifton NJ for six years. In 1998, she and her husband retired and moved to Hudson, Florida residing there for twenty two years. During that time, she became a member of the VFW Auxiliary, 7845 and American Legion Post 335. For ten years she provided health care packages for the Homeless Veterans, and was Chair Lady for the VFW Auxiliary Pack-A-Sack program, which provided food for the school children in need.
She will be remembered for her caring for those in need.
