We are truly heartbroken over the loss of Jim but know he is in heaven smiling down on his entire family and friends. Jim was soft spoken but never afraid to express his faith and belief systems. Jim enjoyed everything from dancing to hunting to fishing to spending time with his family. Jim absolutely adored his children and grandchildren no matter what may have happened in life. He showed unconditional love.

Our sincere condolences to Kelly and every family member because Jim will be missed by all. Allen and I loved Jim unconditionally and will forever more until we meet again.

My deepest condolences to Jimmy’s family. I was in the TSHS class of 1970 with Jimmy, and knew Wayne and Dean as well. All of the Butlers were kind, gentle people, and at the same time, ferocious in sports! The high school years were a special time, and I’m saddened by this loss. My love to the entire family.

My best buddy from high school. He was in our wedding many years ago. Jim was a very kind and caring person. I have many fond memories including debates about rock bands and my beloved Gator football team. RIP buddy, you will be missed.

Uncle Jim- one of the kindest and awesome individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I got to call him Uncle. He was always encouraging and positive and it’s what I loved most about him. JIM WAS PART OF A ‘NEW GENERATION’ OF EMPLOYEES OF THE MIS GROUP WITHIN PINELLAS COUNTY. HE WAS
BRIGHT, ENERGENTIC AND A REAL ASSET TO THE GROUP AND THE ACHIEVEMENTS REACHED BY THE DEPARTMENT.
I PERSONALLY ENJOYED HIS HUMOR AND WIT AND THE MANNER IN WHICH HE CARRIED HIMSELF. MAY HIS FAMILY
AND FRIENDS FIND COMFORT WITH ALL THEIR WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF THIS FINE MAN,

We will miss Jim greatly, we were waiting for him to come sit in rockers on the porch in Tennessee. Now we will sit in those rockers in heaven.
He was a good friend.
So sorry Kelly and family for your loss,
