James John Mavica passed away peacefully in his home on December 18th, 2023, at the age of 76.
He is survived by his brother Nicholas Mavica; two nieces Michele Arnold and Katherine Clements; and a nephew Philip Mavica.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 4th, 1947. His childhood in Brooklyn instilled a lifelong passion for his family, friends, learning, and home cooked Italian food. He loved to speak about it with anyone who would listen.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alexander and Domenica Mavica; and his sister Rosemary Arnold.
There will be a gathering of friends and family at Dobies Funeral Home in New Port Richey, Florida, on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, from 5:00 -7:00 pm. The funeral will be held at the same location on Thursday, January 18th, at 10:00 am. All friends and family are welcome.
