Jeffrey Earl Edmond, 65, of Land O Lakes, Florida, died unexpectedly on January 3rd, 2023, while playing his favorite Monday night card game at the clubhouse.
Jeffrey was born on March 8th, 1957, to Winston Earl and Norma Jean Edmond in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from Ernest Seaholm High School, he studied Packaging Engineering at Michigan State University and graduated in 1979, and later received his Master of Business Administration in 1990 from Ball State University.
After graduating from Michigan State, Jeff began his career in orthopedics at Zimmer-Biomet in Warsaw, Indiana. He met Jane Aylor Clem, and they wed in 1983 on the 9th hold of Rozella Ford Golf Course, Jeff’s home away from home.
In 2012, Jeff and Jane relocated to Florida to be closer to their children, where he continued his career in the medical device industry as a senior executive in quality and validation. After retiring in 2016, Jeff was able to spend most of his time enjoying his favorite hobby, golf. As an officer of The Groves Golf Association, Jeff enjoyed coordinating tournaments with his fellow members, where many friendships were formed. Because of Jeff’s passion for golf, he volunteered for the Florida State Golf Association (FSGA) Rating Committee and surveyed and rated courses throughout the state.
As a native Chicagoan, Jeff’s passion for his hometown sports transcended throughout each team. He loved the Cubs and the Bears, but most of all, the Chicago Blackhawks. As a kid, he and his sisters would attend Blackhawks games where Jeff’s passion for the sport and team only grew. Most recently, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of meeting one of his sports heroes, Legendary Blackhawk Tony Esposito, a meeting arranged by his son.
A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Jeff’s priority in life was his family. He spared no expense by always putting them first. He was his family’s number one fan, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams and ensured their happiness. He enjoyed frequent family gatherings filled with lots of laughter.
Jeff was a member of the Masonic Lodge #73 in Warsaw, Indiana, as well as a Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite.
Aside from his love for golf, Jeff was passionate about giving back to his community and those in need. He was always the first to sign up for volunteering at any event. While Jeff left us way too soon, the impact he had on his community will be felt for years to come. Jeff had incredible patience and always made time to help others. He would say it all comes back to us. His legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we control our attitudes, and the importance of choosing to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service.
Jeff is predeceased in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Jane, his sisters Jan Smith (Phil), Jill Hyde (Tom), his two children, Bubba Clem and Tara Clem-Zidan (Tariq), and his grandson Tyler Clem.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
The family requests for those who wish to express sympathy, to consider making a donation to Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals in honor of Jeffrey Edmond.

Jane, I am shaken by Jeff’s passing. Jeff was the first person I ever hired. He was excellent at anything he did. We became very good friends. I still use his stacked enchiladas recipe that he fixed when living in a big two story rental on west Center Street.
I admired your hubby. He was a very, very good man. Very sorry for for your, Bubba and Tera’s loss.

I have known Jeff since High school. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe this man. Smart , loyal, dependable, honest , and impeccable character would name a few. Just basically a great person! He will no sorely missed. “Boy” , looking forward to meeting you in Heaven with Ed Kyle at the the great Silas pizza, heaven branch , for pizza and a pitcher of beer served by the owner who wore drapes!

Shocked yo learn of Jeff’s passing. Very sad. Jeff was my roommate at MSU for three years as well as the “best man” at my wedding. Our friendship continued as fellow packaging engineers with Jeff at Zimmer and myself at Stryker. Upon his move to Florida we did not see each other again but kept in touch through phone calls and texting. Just a great guy. Jeff possessed rare combination of traits that you just don’t find in many people. I’m going to cherish the memories. My condolences to Janie, Todd and Terra.

Jane – Pat and I send our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Jeff was an awesome man. Funny and kind, he was just a joy to be around. Boomer, our little pupperdog, who is usually very shy with anyone he doesn’t know, took to Jeff immediately. They say dogs always know a good person when they meet ’em. Well, Boomer knew Jeff was a gem the moment they met. Boomer was so right. Sending love and hugs in this difficult time.
