Heaven has a new Angel. It is with profound sadness and very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan R. Gruttadauria (Joanie), 78, of Tarpon Springs. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.  Joanie was the definition of “one-of-a-kind” and we count ourselves so very blessed  and fortunate to have had her in our lives. She poured her heart, soul and energy into everything she did and made everyone around her feel extra special. From dinners she lovingly prepared, to special, well-thought out gifts she picked out and wrapped to perfection! You could literally feel the “love.” She had her own, unique brand of magic that permeated everything she did. She brought tremendous joy to countless gatherings, celebrations and holidays, especially Christmas which was her absolute favorite time of year. Joanie will be very missed by her four children: Stacie Bondurant, Lisa DeBell, Mark Gruttadauria, & Michael Gruttadauria, her nine grandchildren: Matthew, Justin, Zachary, Nicholas, Samantha, Brynn, Garrett, Christine, Weston; and her great granddaughter, Everleigh; Joanie’s brother-in-law, Alan Gruttadauria, and her sister, Jennie Tucker. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Mike Gruttadauria (Michael G.) who passed away in 2017. She touched the lives of everyone around her with her boundless love, kindness, humor and joy-of-life. Her passing leaves an irreplaceable void in all of our lives, but her memory and legacy will live in our hearts forever. May she rest in peace. The love, joy and deeply special memories she gave us will live on and warm oùr hearts forever. She will be deeply, missed and forever cherished.

My families history is forever intertwined with the Gruttadauria’s. I still cannot fathom a world without Joanie, the sister of my heart. The last time we spoke she told me that when she got to heaven she was going to find Pop and I certainly hope they are having a grand reunion. My love and condolences go out to Stacie, Lisa, Mark and Michael and all their children.
